Resurrection Weekend Recap...

After our "Good Friday" concert we headed straight to the buses loaded up and headed to Columbia, SC. While we have many praise partners that show us love all over the country, there's a special remnant in the Carolina's. While we waited backstage, we were entertained by the clever pranks of the Township Auditorium staff including a mounted talking Moose… {scratching head} I still haven't figured out how they made that Moose talk...it called you by your name and engaged in conversation with you...crazy!

There was also a cooler filled with ice cold beverages and for your amusement a snake that practically jumps out into your arms when you open the lid to the cooler. I think a few GA members almost had an accident when that snake popped out....we won't mention any names. Just one of many laughs we shared this weekend. As we went out to minister the people of God, they greeted us with such a warm reception. There was no pumping up necessary & everyone came ready to magnify the Lord with us and we ALL exalted His name together. There was so many awesome moments that night but my favorite had to be when the audience joined with GA and we ALL declared that "Jehovah..You are the most high GOD". I can only imagine that this is how Heaven will be. It was truly a pleasure to worship with the great folks down in Columbia.

We then traveled deeper south to GA {Georgia not Greater Anointing} to gladly oblige in an invitation extended to us by Higher Living Christian Center to join them for their morning services. Although, we only slept a few hours, the JOY of the Lord proved to be our strength.

Now we all know that there is nothing in the world like a {right} after church Sunday nap, we regrouped and headed over to Morehouse College where Pastor Hezekiah Walker hosted "Resurrection Power '09". Being as though our seats were ON the stage we had the opportunity to really enjoy all the other artists that ministered that evening....which was a wonderful treat.

I was definitely in Disney World when Donald Lawrence and his ministry took the stage. I kept trying to inch my way over closer and closer to see if I could blend in as one of his singers {shhh don’t tell Tye}. I loves me a good choir and a good dance...who better to achieve both then NY.
Atlanta really came out and supported this event including a few Sunday's Best contestants {Latice Crawford, Zebulan Ellis and Jeff Spain}.

Overall, it was an amazing weekend of celebrating the that our Savior "Got Up". After reminiscing on the highlights of the weekend one by one we slipped off into our bunks and turned in. Always a blast w/Adventures in GA...can't wait until the next time.

Good Friday Concert Recap...

The Good Friday concert at Antioch Baptist Church in Camden, NJ was fantastic to say the least! The church was full of enthused believers ready for a nightcap of spiritual awakening!!! The atmosphere was ‘perfect’ for welcoming in the spirit of God and celebrating with one another.

GA jump started the evening that led way to a magnificent gum drop of a treat…Little Miss Ciara, who blew {like a mighty roaring wind, ha ha} the audience away with her rendition of Encourage Yourself {Donald Lawrence} and it was OMAZING {yep..O}. I think Miss Ciara was approx. eight years old {if this is incorrect, someone please help me out, I just know that she was a cute little button}! Her voice was so mature and she had such a wonderful stage presence about her. Thank the Lord for the youth! After her solo, Tye led the prayer to cover her and for her to use her gift to continually uplift the Kingdom of God.

Twyse {smh} I mean honestly what can you say? I enjoy his ministry ever single time I see it & from the looks of the audience, they too were in agreement. His spirit, energy, clarity, flow and delivery was marvelous. God is doing great things in His servants.

Rock Nation was in the building and they continually prove that worship is ESSENTIAL in the lives of believers and that we shouldn’t be ashamed to do so. This dynamic duo {along with band} are awesome and it’s my prayer that they continue to bless the Lord at all times. That statement actually goes for all Christian artists! So with that being said, let’s continue to be a shining light for all the world to see that leads them to Christ!

Overall it was a breathtaking evening of celebration acknowledging that our Savior made such an awesome sacrifice for His children. It’s a sacrifice that we can never repay but we it shouldn’t stop us from trying and letting Him know how much we appreciate Him, not only for what He’s done on our behalf but simply because of who He is.

GA Fun Day...

Psalm 133: How good and pleasant it is when brothers dwell together in unity!

Every now and then, there comes a point in your life, when you decide that you have to take time out to enjoy yourself and others....so was the purpose of GA's Fun Day. Our wonderful leader, Tye thought it was well OVERDUE so he announced, cough cough, "GA DAY is on the way...leave your problems home... and let the GOOD TIMES ROLL".

We celebrated with great music courtesy of Prayz1 & The Underdogs, tasty treats, fun filled activities {not including keys getting locked in a car}, dance offs and the most talked about highly spirited game of volleyball {with a few minor injuries, including temporary loss of hearing, slight bruising etc.} & lovely parting goodie bags.

So during these challenging times, remember that we are children of God and that we must gather our families/friends and hold each other up. In times like these not only do we need the Lord but we need each other as well.

This was the FIRST but def. not the last GA Fun Day!!
